Liugang (Shandong) Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Liugang Shandong Supply Chain") recently signed a formal long-term supply agreement with Companhia Metalúrgica Nacional (CMN), a renowned Brazilian industrial group. Under the terms of the agreement, Liugang Shandong Supply Chain will supply the client with approximately 9,000 tons of hot-rolled coils and American-standard structural steel over the next eight months, with a total contract value exceeding US$3 million.
This represents the largest single order secured by Liugang Shandong Supply Chain in the South American market since its inception, marking a significant breakthrough in the company's business expansion within the Latin American region.
Reportedly, CMN is a leading manufacturer of metal processing and warehousing equipment based in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Its products are widely utilized in sectors such as logistics racking systems and structural component fabrication; consequently, the company maintains rigorous standards regarding steel material uniformity, dimensional tolerances, and surface quality. To secure this contract, the Liugang Shandong Supply Chain team engaged in four months of extensive technical consultations and sample verification with the client. By leveraging the superior quality of Liugang Group's hot-rolled coils—combined with the company's agile supply chain integration capabilities—they ultimately distinguished themselves from a field of numerous international suppliers.
The products included in this order primarily comprise:
Hot-rolled coils produced by Liugang (equivalent to Q235B / ASTM A36), ranging in thickness from 2.5 mm to 6.0 mm, intended for cold-forming applications and structural components;
American-standard H-beams (A992 Gr50), designated for use as racking uprights and crossbeams;
Galvanized channel steel and angle steel (ASTM A36 hot-dip galvanized), intended for use in connectors and support systems.
All products will be manufactured and supplied in strict compliance with American standards, accompanied by EN10204 3.1 material certificates and third-party SGS inspection reports. The initial shipment—consisting of approximately 1,500 tons of hot-rolled coils—was successfully loaded at Rizhao Port this week and is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Santos, Brazil, in mid-May. The Foreign Trade Director of Liugang Shandong Supply Chain stated: "Establishing a long-term partnership with a renowned Brazilian industrial conglomerate serves as a strong validation of our 'direct mill supply plus supply chain services' business model. We not only provide Liugang’s high-quality products but also help our clients reduce their overall procurement costs through professional processing, packaging, and integrated logistics solutions. Moving forward, we will continue to deepen our presence in the South American market and in countries along the 'Belt and Road' initiative, aiming to achieve a 40% year-on-year increase in export volume for the full year."
Currently, Liugang Shandong Supply Chain is actively preparing to participate in the "South America Metals and Steel Exhibition," to be held in São Paulo this September, with the aim of further expanding the company's brand influence across the Latin American region.
